The mountain village of Radium Hot Springs, BC is just a 2-3 hour drive from Calgary, AB at the south entrance of Kootenay National Park and situated on the banks of the Columbia River. It is probably best-known for its fabulous mineral pools which are odorless and surrounded by natural rock walls, guaranteed to soak away all your worldly cares.
The small but lively community offers unlimited outdoor activities for every season. In winter, it is just a short drive to Panorama Mountain Village, Fairmont Hot Springs and Kicking Horse resorts for some of the best downhill skiing in BC, as well as miles of excellent cross-country trails for skiing and snowmobiling in the backcountry.
Summertime offers golfing at two championship golf courses within the village as well as a dozen more within an easy drive. You can also hike, bike, fish, trail ride and explore the natural wonders of Kootenay National Park.
Radium Hot Springs offers great dining, many community events such as the annual Columbia Valley Classics Show and Shine which draws hundreds of visitors to view the nearly one thousand classic cars and trucks on display. All this plus deer, bear and elk, and, of course, the popular Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep which wander about the village to the delight of visitors.
